Establish Goals and Objectives
Once you have identified the needs you will be addressing, and established your vision and mission statements, you will be ready to establish clear operational objectives - a list of what you expect to happen or accomplish - and details of the program you will operate.
Objectives might include:
- To provide a play-based program for children 0-6, that incorporates child care, kindergarten and parenting programs in a relaxed welcoming environment
- To offer flexible services that corresponds to the needs of parents
- To develop a partnership agreement to operate the program with the local school.
- To base program activities on sound child development principles and best practices
- To engage in ongoing quality improvement processes
- To provide equitable access to all children
- To design the financial structure of the program to enable the organization to recruit and retain qualified staff and keep fees to parents as affordable as possible
